Defeating the Night
Zusammen Hand in Hand die Nacht kommen lassen ist viel einfacher, als dabei allein zu sein. Schweres Traubenrot bringt schwere Gedanken. Alles ist leichter mit einer anderen Hand in deiner.
75 x 100 cm, Fineart‒Print, gezogen auf Aludibond, matt laminiert, gerahmt in Eiche; Auflage 1/1 und damit ein Unikat. Jedes meiner Bilder wird durch ein von mir geschriebenes Gedicht ergänzt, das der/die Käufer/in dazu erhält.
Letting the night come, together, hand in hand, is far easier than being alone with it. Heavy grape‒red carries heavy thoughts. Everything is lighter with another hand in yours.

Wenn ich neben dir liege
kann ich den Duft verwehter Nächte
Ă¼ber die Wiesen gleiten hören
Ich kann durch eine offene TĂ¼r
in den Abend treten und sehen,
wie Wolken gleich dunkler Ballons
in die weite weite Ferne steigen
BerĂ¼hr mich, berĂ¼hr meine Stirn,
meine Haut, mein Gesicht
Amseln ziehen den Tag in Schleppen Ă¼ber die halbgeschlossnen Himmel
Dort hinten blinkt ein Stern
Ich weiĂŸ, dass wir Hand in Hand
die Nacht besiegen können.
Defeating the Night
When I lie beside you,
I can hear the scent of weathered nights
gliding over the meadows.
I can step through an open door
into the evening and see
how clouds, like dark balloons,
rise into the vast, vast distance.
Touch me – touch my forehead,
my skin, my face.
Blackbirds trail the day in long trains
across the half-closed sky.
Back there, a star is blinking.
I know that hand in hand
we can defeat the night.

Ich arbeite mit Fett und FlĂ¼ssigkeiten. Körnige Fragmente, verwischte Bildteile, sichtbare Spuren von Fett oder zerfasterte Elemente sind Bestandteil meiner Arbeit und werden von mir bewusst nicht retuschiert.
Each of my photographs is a unique piece and is produced only once. With the artwork, you will receive a certificate of authenticity and the accompanying poem, handwritten on handmade paper.
I work with grease and liquids. Grainy fragments, blurred areas, visible traces of grease, or frayed elements are an integral part of my work and are intentionally left unretouched.
